Clayton Sign Painting Start a project

Painted by hand.
Done right.

Automotive sign painting for vintage trucks, classic and custom livery.

Why a brush

Vinyl just doesn’t cut it.

Before stickers, privateer racers had sign painters. Every number, roundel and sponsor went on with a brush. Bailey still does it that way, on the cars that deserve it and the trucks that earn their keep.

Best Ferrari present.

Roundels, race numbers and the prancing horse, sized and placed the way the car wore them. It went on to Pebble Beach and took the Best Ferrari Present award, in the year Ferrari was the marque.

How a job starts

You don’t need it all figured out.

  1. Tell him about the car. Year, make, model, and what you’re picturing.
  2. Send what you have. A logo, an old photograph, a historical reference, or just a story.
  3. Work out the rest. Design, scheduling and pricing get talked through with Bailey.
